Surprising My Best Friend!! A Weekend in Vegas
A few weeks ago, I was able to surprise my best friend for her birthday weekend in Vegas. I had such an amazing time in Vegas and I wanted to do a recap of everything we did.
Surprising My Best Friend
I flew into Vegas on Thursday night and unfortunately, my flight was a little delayed. I dropped off my suitcase at the hotel and then went to Margaritaville where Amanda and her mom were having dinner. Shoutout to Amanda's mom for bringing me to Vegas to surprise her! Amanda was confused for at least 10 minutes about how I was there, but she was very surprised and happy I was there! Check out my Vegas vlogs to watch her reaction.
Weekend in Vegas
On Friday, we decided to take an Uber to the Welcome To Las Vegas sign to take pictures there. After we took some pictures, we walked down the strip back to our hotel and we stopped at many different places. We walked through the Mandalay Bay and I got some M&M's at M&M World.
It was a very hot day in Vegas so once we got back to our hotel, we went to the pool. We stayed at The Linq, which I would definitely recommend. It was fairly affordable and it was a nice hotel. Plus, the Linq Promenade has a lot of things to do and a lot of places to eat.
For dinner, we went to Yardbird, which is located in the Venetian. If you're in the mood for Southern food or fried chicken, definitely go to Yardbird! The three of us split Chicken and Waffles, Mac and Cheese, Biscuits and Brussel Sprouts. Everything was so good and it was easy to split everything between us. For dessert, we got the Peanut Butter Ice Cream Pie which I'm still thinking about because it was that good.
MGM Pool
On Saturday, we spent the day at the MGM Pool. We had a cute little pod along the lazy river. It was perfect because we had some shade and could hop right into the water when we got too hot. The food and drinks were really good at the pool too. Amanda and I split a frozen blended drink called Miami Vice and it was amazing!
I was supposed to fly out of Vegas on Saturday night, but my flight got very delayed. So I switched my flight to the morning instead and I stayed at my aunt and uncle's house for the night.I had an amazing weekend in Vegas and I'm so glad I was able to surprise Amanda for her birthday weekend.
